How did fashionABLE get its name and what is the meaning behind it?
The vision of fashionABLE is to make a new kind of fashion statement as a responsible consumer. The fashionABLE mission is to create sustainable business in Africa so that the people are not dependants on charity, but a vital part of a developing economy. When you buy a fashionABLE product you are ABLE to provide opportunities, and women in Africa are ABLE to have a new choice.
Are the scarves fair trade certified?
Fair Trade Certification is an extensive process and textile production is new to the program, which is overseen by TransFair USA. As we ensure that each step in the supply chain meets fair trade standards, we will get closer and closer to having the entire process meet the requirements set forth by TransFair USA and the Fairtrade Labeling Organization (FLO). In the meantime, we ensure that every woman is paid a fair wage and that all of our operations are conducted with integrity.
How do I care for my scarf?
We recommend dry cleaning only, to ensure your scarf keeps its original colors and quality.
Where/how exactly is my scarf made?
Each scarf is handmade from Ethiopian cotton in the capital of Addis Ababa. The cotton is collected from the field, the seeds are removed, and then it is separated for the weaving process. The thread is dyed the desired color, and then woven into unique designs. When you receive your packaged scarf, it is a product directly from the women in Ethiopia that you are helping. Scarves are made by women in the program, as well as other Ethiopian sources that include women and men, to help meet demand. While being supported by those sources, fashionABLE is continually funding the training of more women in order to employ as many women as demand will allow. All the while, we are meeting the mission that your purchase of a fashionABLE scarf continues to create sustainable business for more women in Africa.

How does my purchase create sustainable business in Africa?
The focus of our work is with vulnerable women, many of whom have been exploited due to the effects of poverty. We also partner with existing businesses that employ women with fair wages & hiring practices. As we increase sales of our products, we employ more women to make them. The greatest strength of our sustainability is the people who purchase them and share the story of the women who make them. Read more about our business model cycle on our commitment page.

Can I buy a fashionABLE product if I live outside the US?
Yes! We ship anywhere in the world!
*Please note that shipping costs increase when shipping outside the US & international orders are NOT trackable.
How much is shipping?
Shipping varies with every order, determined by weight and destination. Your shipping cost will be calculated for you before you checkout and confirm your order. A shipping confirmation email will be sent to you once your order has shipped. Please note we currently only offer tracking on UPS shipping. If you select USPS options, we cannot track your order and are not held liable for packages that are lost or stolen.
What about “Free Shipping for purchases over $80″ ?
We currently offer FREE SHIPPING for all domestic orders over $80. Once your shopping cart total is $80+ you will see a “Free Shipping” option. If selected, these will automatically be sent UPS Ground. You will receive a tracking number along with a shipping confirmation email once orders have been shipped. In addition, customers receive a return shipping label with all domestic orders. For questions regarding returns and exchanges, please visit the Returns + Exchanges page. Please note that Nisolo is not liable for lost or stolen packages.
International shipping is available at the customer’s expense through USPS.
When can I expect to receive my order?
USPS options typically ship 2-3 business days from purchase, and please note that these options are NOT trackable. For faster delivery & a tracking number, select UPS options. Email store@livefashionABLE.com with any questions.
Can I cancel my order?
In an effort to get our products to customers as quickly as possible, your order cannot be canceled or modified once it is placed. Please refer to our return/exchange policy below for instructions on how to return your order once you receive it. If you have entered an incorrect shipping address, please contact us at email@example.com immediately.
What is your return/exchange policy?
At fashionABLE we are not 100% satisfied until you are.
Return Policy: We will gladly accept returns if your product is defective, or if you are unsatisfied, for up to 30 days after your purchase. We will only accept items that have not been used, worn, or washed. Please return your scarf to the address below, with a copy of the original invoice and a reason for your return.
Exchange Policy: If your order was incorrectly fulfilled or flawed in any way, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know. Exchanges will be accepted up to 90 days of purchase. Once your item is received & processed, we will ship your new item. Please return your product with the original invoice and the reason for your exchange to the address below. If your product is satisfactory, but you desire to exchange for a different item, you will need to specify what you would like instead and include $5 shipping and handling. Please check the products page to see if the item you wish to exchange for is in stock. Also, please make sure your shipping address is clearly indicated.
