We want you to love your new ABLE denim- and that means finding your perfect length. We designed our jeans with an average 30” inseam, but we know that there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to length, so there are a few options to make them just right.
Don't let a long inseam make you feel like you can’t wear any of the styles. The amazing thing about denim is that you can wear it multiple ways, and it just works! So, if you are up for a raw hem, we recommend cutting your own, which will get more and more natural looking in time. Our denim designer, Jenny, takes you through the easy step-by-step process below.
Don’t want to attempt your own raw hem? We also recommend a single cuff or a double roll, depending on the style. For a The Skinny or The High Rise, a single cuff can be a great look! For The Slouch, double roll to make it perfect for you.
How to Make Your Own Raw Hem:
1. Put on your jeans and mark with a safety pin where you want the length to hit (pin other leg to match)
2. Take off your jeans and lay them flat on floor, then cut with a zig zag about 1/2" below the pin mark (because the fray will get longer over time, ending up just right at that pin length). *tip: make sure the zig zag pattern is a subtle and uneven pattern so it looks natural!
Repeat on the other side.

3. Time to create your fray! We recommend using a metal dog brush, but you could also use a regular comb or rough brush. Scuff up the hem by roughly brushing back and forth over your zig zag hem. You should start to see some white threads coming lose and fraying. Keep brushing until you are satisfied!!

Done!! You can now wear your new raw hem jeans. In time and after washing, the fray will become more and more ragged and loose.
